DVD Rental program from the Vineyard for our local customers!

Faith formation titles are available for a 7 day rental for only $5!

The Vineyard is please to introduce a rental program for select Faith Formation DVDs!  These are typically prices from $25-$60, and we found an economical way for you to enjoy these selections!  Some title include:

Scott Hahn: Swear to God (EWTN)

Catholic Courses: Catholics in the Public Square

Catholic Courses:  The Christ

Catholic Courses: A Tour of St. Peter’s Square and Basilica

The Reason Series

Many of these are multi-disc collections, so a generous 7 day rental period is appropriate.  In order to rent these and other titles we only ask that you are a registered customer in our database, and complete a short rental agreement form that is consistent with Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, etc.

We add new titles every now and again, so the list of available selections changes regularly.   Why not stop in and check out a great rental that can help your faith journey?

Diocese of Rockford Clergy Conference 2015

clergy conf 1

The winter weather gave us a break last  week to visit the Clergy Conference for our Diocesan Priests!  Held at the beautiful Abbey Resort in Fontana, WI we were able to connect with several of our area priests and work with them for their institutional needs.

It was great to see all of them!

Vineyard’s Christmas Open House

The Vineyard had a Christmas Open House on December 6.  It was a great way to start the Christmas celebrations!  We were honored to have a few guests with us also:

msgrbarr1

Monsignor Eric Barr was available to sign and discuss his award-winning fiction novel Roan:The Chronicles of Connor Archer Volume 1.  Several people came in to see Monsignor throughout the day.

Father Keith Romke and Mr. Nic Frank were in the store for a few hours to entertain and play games with some children who came out to the store.  Our very own employee, Lauren, who is a high school junior, organized the event.

Our Open House was a day planned for you, our patrons.  For those of you who came out, we hope you had fun!

Great Lakes Catholic Mens Conference

The GLCMC was held on November 22, and the Vineyard was one of the proud supporters of the event.

In addition to several other vendors and Catholic services, The Vineyard was on hand selling rosaries, books and a few early Christmas gifts.

The dynamic speakers captivated the sold-out audience. It was a terrific experience for the Vineyard and we will plan on our continued support of this important event for years to come.

Many of the speakers have books, or other media, most of which is available at the Vineyard.

Elementary Teacher’s Institute earlier this month

We were honored to be a vendor at this season’s Diocese of Rockford Elementary Teachers’ Institute on Tuesday, October 14, held at Boylan High School.  It was fun to see some old and new friends alike in the Catholic academic community!

We had several tables of educational books, children’s books, games, DVDs and the like all for the possible use in the academic environment.

We raffled off a Fontanini Nativity set worth $150, and the winner was Ann Swartz of Dixon.  Congratulations Ann!

…And we had teachers test their skill at a golf putting challenge, with a $100 Gift Certificate awarded to Rachel Phelps of Rockford.

We had a great day at the Institute and we hope to see all of our educational friends in the months ahead!

Welcome

As new owners we finally have been able to update this site–and we are grateful for your patience!  Our ownership of the store began in January and we have been working diligently on getting to know many of our customers and the store operations.  What a fun year it has been!

In these first months we have added new inventory, and reworked some aspects of the store layout.    We have big ideas for this site and our sister e-commerce site,   so please feel free to check back often!

We are excited for the upcoming holiday season and have several fun promotions and events planned!  We will be updating this site with news and other fun things in the coming days and weeks.

Thank you for your support of the Vineyard!
